Here he is. Culex.. in all his awesomeness.
Perhaps not all of it since I drew him after all.
A (secret?) boss character from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Created by (ungh) Square, back when on the SNES.
He took probably a day and a half to two days to draw in total. That or I slacked so much I lost track of how much time I put into him.
He was a hassle from start to finish as I kept thinking of new ways to draw or color him, or to little adjustments here and there, so on. He also took some effort as I wanted to pay as much respect to him as possible as he's one of the few characters in video games that I like. With that I wanted to give him a good powerful look.
I was thinking of something similar to my first drawing of him I did back in 2003 ([link]) but as I said, I wanted to really express a good feel to what I think Culex is in general. And thats just this all-powerful creature of darkness.
Anyway with honesty I will now say that I half-assed the horns and the crystals. The crystal formation is rather obvious in it's lack of quality since it looks sketchy at best, but oh well.
Er.. I'm probably talking rather jumbled with my words so I'll just shut up now x_x
(also, I had an accidental post with the wrong version of my drawing so here's what I intended to post, sorry!)
